Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences
1. Faculty-wide scholarships
International Excellence Undergraduate Scholarships
•The award: £2,000 per year
•Who is eligible: Well qualified international students who apply for any undergraduate degree course within the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences.

2. Discipline-specific scholarships
The different Schools and discipline areas within the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences offer a range of scholarships depending upon your chosen course of study:
Chemistry
School of Chemistry Overseas Scholarships
•The award: £3,000 - £6,000 over Years 3 and 4
•Who is eligible: Overseas BSc and MChem students who achieve a 2.1 performance or better in Years 1 and 2.
These scholarships will be credited towards tuition fees in the relevant years.
Earth, Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences
School Scholarship
•The award: £1,000 per year (five scholarships available)
•Who is eligible: The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of interview and achievements for the most promising students (home and international) who do not qualify for a Manchester Success Scholarship.
Engineering courses
Shell Technical Scholarship Scheme
•The award: £10,000 over four years (£2,500 per year)
•Who is eligible: Students in the discipline areas of Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering who are registered on four-year MEng undergraduate programmes. Students will be selected on the basis of AAA or AAB at A-level or equivalent, an interview and satisfying other achievement criteria.
Two scholarships are awarded in each discipline area each year.
BP Undergraduate Scholarships
•The award: £2,000 per year
•Who is eligible: First and second year undergraduate students in the following discipline areas: Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geology and Chemistry. Students are selected on the basis of their first year examination results and the content of their application.
Morton Scholarship for International Excellence
•The award: £1,000 per year
•Who is eligible: The School of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Sciences will award up to ten of these scholarships, worth £1,000 per year of the course, to those successful international applicants who have demonstrated overall academic excellence.
Mathematics
Undergraduate Overseas Scholarships
The School of Mathematics offers three types of scholarship for international students, who can receive £2,000 or £4,000 for each year of their studies in the School of Mathematics.
